Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SynthoSilicon Ltd (“SynthoSilicon”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal data when you use our UK-based mobile applications (the “App”).
1. Who we are
SynthoSilicon Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the App. We are established in the United Kingdom and currently target users in the UK only.
You can contact us about privacy matters using the contact details in the “How to contact us” section below.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: email address and any profile details you choose to provide (such as name or avatar) so that we can create and manage your account.
- In-app content: task data and other content you choose to store in the App so that we can provide core functionality such as syncing and task management.
- Usage and diagnostics data: information about how you use the App (for example screens viewed, features used, and basic device information) collected via Firebase and Google Analytics to help us monitor performance and improve the App.
Sensitive information is stored in secure storage on your device where possible and is only processed by us to the extent necessary to provide App functionality.
3. How we use your data and legal bases
We use your personal data for the following purposes under the UK GDPR:
- Providing and maintaining the App (performance of a contract): to create and manage your account, store and sync your tasks, and operate App features you choose to use.
- Security and abuse prevention (legitimate interests): to protect the App, investigate suspicious activity, and prevent misuse.
- Analytics and product improvement (legitimate interests and/or consent, depending on your implementation): to understand how the App is used, fix bugs and improve performance using Firebase and Google Analytics.
- Support (performance of a contract or legitimate interests): to respond to requests you send via our support website or support email address.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance our interests against your rights and expectations and only process data that is necessary for the stated purpose.
4. Notifications and preferences
You can manage push notification preferences for the App using your device operating system settings. If you disable notifications at OS level, we will no longer send push notifications to that device.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
- Account and task data: stored for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in the App, we aim to delete associated personal data from our active systems without undue delay, subject to any technical or legal limitations (for example short-term backups).
- Analytics and diagnostics data: may be retained for a longer period in aggregate or anonymised form, which does not identify you.
7. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit using HTTPS between the App and our backend services.
Sensitive information is stored in secure storage on your device where appropriate, and access to data in Firebase and Google Cloud is restricted to authorised personnel and protected using security controls provided by those platforms.
8. Children
The App is not specifically directed at children, but it may be used by people of any age. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child in a way that requires parental consent under UK data protection law, we will take reasonable steps to delete the data or obtain the necessary consent in line with ICO guidance.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have certain rights in relation to your personal data, which may include:
- Right of access: to obtain a copy of your personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: to request deletion of your personal data, for example by deleting your account in the App.
- Right to restriction and objection: to request that we restrict certain processing or object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Right to data portability: in some circumstances, to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format and to transmit it to another controller.
You can exercise some of these rights directly in the App (for example by deleting your account) and you can also contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

11. Complaints

12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and update the “Last updated” date at the top. In some cases, we may also notify you by in-App message or email.
